Véronique Duboc a obtenu son doctorat en 2007 à l’université de Nice Sophia-Antipolis. Son travail visait à mieux comprendre les voies génétiques en jeu pour établir des asymétries gauche-droite du corps. En 2008, elle a rejoint l’Institut National pour la Recherche Médicale (Londres) où elle a étudié la génétique du développement des membres grâce à une combinaison de séquençage à haut débit, de génétique et techniques d’imagerie de pointe. Elle retourne ensuite en France à l’Université de Toulouse en 2014, où son projet vise à comprendre comment la latéralité du cerveau émerge au cours du développement. Depuis 2016, elle rejoint le Département de Génétique Médicale (hôpital Archet 2) à Nice, où elle est en charge de la plateforme de Cytogénétique Moléculaire, fournissant des diagnostics pour les maladies rares. Elle fait également partie de l’équipe «Génétique des maladies mitochondriales» (Pr. V. Paquis) à l’Institut de recherche sur le cancer et le vieillissement (IRCAN).

Veronique Duboc graduated her Ph.D in 2007 at the university of Nice Sophia-Antipolis. Her work aimed at better understanding the genetic pathways in play to establish left-right asymmetries of the body. In 2008, she joined the National Institute for Medical Research (London) where she studied the genetics of limb development through a combination of high-throughput sequencing, genetics and imaging technics. She then, moved back to the University of Toulouse in 2014, where her project focused on understanding how laterality of the brain emerges during development. Since 2016, she joined the Department of Medical Genetics (Archet 2 hospital) in Nice, were she is in charge of the Molecular Cytogenetics platform, providing diagnostics for rare diseases. She also belongs to the team “Genetics of Mitochondrial Disease” (Pr. V. Paquis) at the Institute for Research on Cancer and Aging (IRCAN).
