Le Docteur D’HONDT est chirurgien orthopédiste depuis 1985, ancien chef de clinique en chirurgie orthopédique au CHU de Nice. Il opère à la clinique Saint George de Nice depuis 1985 et s’est rapidement consacré à la chirurgie prothétique du genou. Après s’être consacré à la navigation chirurgicale pour la mise en place des prothèses du genou, il s’est orienté vers les guides de coupe personnalisés fabriqués par une imprimante 3 D après planification de son intervention grâce à un scanner 3 D et un logiciel Médacta pour la mise en place des prothèses du genou. Il est membre de la Sofcot et du Collège français de chirurgie orthopédique. 

Didier D’HONDT (MD) is an orthopaedic surgeon who fully registered in 1985. He is a former academic and clinical fellow of Nice University Teaching Hospital. Since 1985, he is working as a consultant in the orthopaedic department of Saint George Private Hospital. His practice was soon dedicated to total knee arthroplasty. His former clinical expertise includes total knee arthroplasty using computer assisted orthopaedic surgery but he’s now working on patient specific cutting guide. After a thorought planification made with the Medacta planification software and a 3D scanner those cutting guide allows to realise a personalised total knee arthroplasty. Didier D’HONDT is a member of the Sofcot (French Orthopaedic and Traumatology Society) and of the Collège Français de Chirurgie Orthopédique (French Orthopaedic Academy).
